What are your tips for a successful first year of college?
Everyone has different perception with ''successful''. For me, everyone's life can be successful as long as u enjoy it, enjoy every single thing that gone through ur life. And so, i thought my college life is hectic though successful enough =]
This is for the very first time i left my home at outstation and stay at town, together with some prevoius schoolmate..
The first thing i want to share is.. Learn how to balance between CLUBBING and STUDYING.
Undeniably the world out there is really COLORFUL, im lovin' it. But it seems like we still need to be a good child of ur papa and mama. Dont simply spoil ur reputation up by having pills at a club.. Strip dancing cause u're drunk... U know. Asians cant take that, If u did that i suppose u can get ur strip dancing video VERY SOON sending all around the college, via bluetooth. And u get famous in one day, cool?? lol.. The cons of having new technologies. =p
Secondly, study SMART and not study too HARD. It's never gonna work if u study very hard and never let down ur hair once in a while. Students in Malaysia, we are very very very pity, unlike some western countries, they probably just chooose the few subjects that important or they interested with, in Malaysia, this is what i always mad of. Imagine, a 16 and 17-year-old child need to study 11 subject. WTF. Those 11 include 3 main languages in M'sia, which is English, Malay, Chinese. And we have Biology, Chemistry, Physics for science. Besides Mathematics, we have Additional Mathematics, and we need to study Morale.. History and one really stupid subject. English for Science and Technology. Some crazy science student take biz subjects like Accounting, Economy.. and so forth.. This is all about insanity, help me out~
Thirdly, choose the right classes to ATTEND and to SKIP. As like what i said at previous post, you wont want to attend a class with a lecturer singing lullaby everyday, skip smartly so u wont be barred from ur final exam just because u dont have a GOOD attendance. Skip as much as class possible once the barred list came out. As what i am doing now, shaking butts all the day at hostel and skip all the boring classes =p
Forth, get urself BUSY like HELL with activities around~!! Dont care whether it is dancing, singing, organizing events, hang outs, competitions........ GO AHEAD, u're gonna have lotsa fun~!! =] Im always hyperactive with college activities.. This is stil the diploma stage, i cant like playing fool around next year onwards, so just go and DROWN yourself with funny stuffs around. Seriously i learnt a lot of things from those events.^_^
Fifth, friends in need are friends indeed, form a STUDY GROUP and a CHATTING GROUP as well! Im now just home from dinner. We went to a nearby library to study today, since the final exam is coming.. We studied for bout 3 hours, and during dinner.. We chat, for at least 3 hours =.= This is the advantage of having so many FRIENDS INDEED! =p
